The collaboration will see Tealive franchised stores in Kedai Mesra outlets. Malaysia food and beverage company Loob Holding has partnered with retail network PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd (PDB) for nationwide expansion.
The collaboration will see franchised stores of Loob’s Tealive brand in PDB’s Kedai Mesra outlets throughout the country, targeting up to 300 Tealive stores in three years.
Speaking on the collaboration, Loob CEO Bryan Loo said Tealive had already set up four pilot stores at PETRONAS Bukit Antarabangsa, Ara Damansara, Kesas Highway and Besraya Highway.
“Given PDB’s extensive network of 750 Kedai Mesra, this is a great opportunity for us to expand the reach of the Tealive brand. Tealive menu at PETRONAS stations will also carry customised drinks that are only available at Kedai Mesra, “ he said.
“Ultimately, we want to make Kedai Mesra the go-to, one-stop convenience centre and we are open to other partnerships that are aligned with our vision,” PDB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Syed Abidin also explained.
Tealive has since expanded to 222 outlets in Malaysia, seven in Vietnam, two in China and one in Australia. It will also open outlets in India.
